Ask Congress to reject an additional $1 billion of our money for Israel’s crimes!

Despite unprecedented action by Members of Congress to block the sale of bombs to Israel, its government is unrelenting in demanding even greater amounts of weapons from US taxpayers. Israel is expected to make a formal request for $1 billion MORE in weapons--on top of the $3.8 billion in weapons we are already giving this year! OUTRAGEOUS!!

For far too long, Israel has enjoyed a blank check from the US government that it spends with total impunity. It uses our tax dollars to murder, imprison, torture, bomb, occupy, humiliate, blockade, and violate the rights of Palestinians, over and over again. And we have had enough.

This is another opportunity for us to push our elected officials to prove how progressive they are: contact them now and tell them to reject an additional $1 billion of our taxpayer dollars for Israel’s crimes!

Dear Representative, It has come to my attention that the government of Israel plans to request $1 billion more in additional “emergency” military aid from the United States. I urge you to reject this outrageous request--on top of the already astronomical regular amount of $3.8 billion in weapons--that comes on the heels of an aggressive Israeli military assault that left over 200 people dead, including over 60 children. Israel already receives too much military aid from the US that it uses to commit human rights violations against the Palestinian people with impunity. Between the occupation of the West Bank, the blockade of Gaza, the ever-growing Israeli settlements on Palestinian land, forced evictions of Palestinian families from East Jerusalem, and much more, as long as the US gives Israel money, our government is complicit in Israel’s crimes. We need funds for our communities here in the United States. One billion dollars could go a long way in our schools and in our towns. Please reject this outrageous demand from the Israeli government.
